플랜트 설계 시, 가장 중요한 업무가 발주처로 부터 접수받은 ITB 나 SPECIFICATION에 대한 검토일 것입니다.

 

한글과는 조금 다른 영문 SPEC.의 해석 용이를 위해 표를 만들어 보았습니다.

 

1. 조동사 정리

* 아시다 시피, 영문 SPEC.에서는 MUST를 거의 쓰지 않습니다. (안쓴다고 해도 무방할 것입니다.)

* 제일 강한 표현이 "SHALL"이라고 보시면 됩니다.

In the context of technical documents, the following definitions are used to specify the level of obligation or possibility:

Shall – Indicates a mandatory requirement.
It means something must be done or adhered to.
필수적인 요구 사항을 나타냅니다. 반드시 지켜야 할 의무가 있다는 뜻입니다.

Example: "The system shall be capable of handling 100 transactions per second.

"Should – Indicates a recommendation or a preferred course of action, but it is not mandatory.
권장 사항을 나타냅니다. 이행하는 것이 바람직하지만 필수는 아닙니다.
Example: "The user interface should be intuitive for all age groups.

"May – Indicates permission or the ability to choose between options.
It provides the possibility but not the obligation.
허가또는 선택 가능성을 나타냅니다.
반드시 해야 하는 것은 아니지만 선택할 수 있는 여지를 줍니다.
Example: "Users may choose to upload images from their devices.

"Can – Indicates the possibility or capability of something.
It describes what is possible or what someone is able to do.
가능성또는능력을 나타냅니다. 어떤 일이 가능한지 또는 어떤 기능이 있는지를 설명합니다.
Example: "The system can operate under low-power conditions."
