Don't be afraid to think about the future,

to dream about the future,

to write about the future.

 

I've found it really liberating and fun to do that.

It's a way of vaccinating yourself

against the worst possible case of future shock.

 

It's also a source of empowerment,

because you cannot prepare for something that 

you haven't already visualized.

But there's something that you need to know.

You don't predict the future;

you imagine the future.

미래에 대해 생각하고 꿈꾸고

미래에 대해 쓰는 걸 두려워하지 마세요.

그건 정말 재밌는 일이고 저를 자유롭게 해 줍니다.

그건 미래에 닥쳐 올 최악의 상황에 대해

예방 접종을 하는 것과 같아요.

또 권한 부여의 원천이 되기도 해요.

이미 예견하지 않은 것에 미리 대비할 수는 없으니까요.

하지만 아셔야 할 것이 있습니다.

미래는 예견할 수 없어요.

상상할 뿐이죠.
